Gin o'clock

Yes I'm aware this is immensely sad but it kinda helps knowing that I'm half way recovered when I get to this point. Apparently for someone my age it takes 2 years for a brain injury to recover, so half way there! I think I constantly say this but I really do miss the things I used to take for granted now. It will be a long process but I'll get there!

Sparkles

So for my birthday I had numerous presents, jess and Rosie bought me nail stuff. Rosie bought me the hh heartbreaker nails and jess bought me the topshop nail varnishes. I applied the hh nails last week and they were gorgeous! Although I hardly wear false nails and when I do, intake them off within 4 hours. They will be back New Years I think so they aren't wasted!
Jess bought me 3 shades of nail varnish, 2 of them were sparkly colours and the 3rd was a gothic matte colour. I tried the purpley sparkled one and I'm impressed with how quick it dries. I put on a pink resist and shine from Sally Henson first and applied the glitter varnish after. I feel this varnish combo will last longer as if worn the pink resist and shine before and it lasted a month without even chips! Also because of the glitter varnish it will be hard for it to dissapear too. Again definately reccomened!

Witchcraft!

So I'd been seeing a lot of people go on about these pentagram strapped tops/midis from mxci ( ig: mxci_uk )  and decided to buy one myself. Sadly I don't go out in the night as much as I used to right now obviously, but as soon as June comes around I know this top will be my attire of choice! They come in other obvious colours than black but of course I got black as it goes with everything! Haha! Definitely recommend! The top/cami was only £20 too!

Birthday treats!

Thought I'd post what presents I got for my 21st! :) really taken back with the amount and effort my fiends put in for my birthday this year and it kinda makes me emotional and even more lucky to have them! The only down side was not being able to drink alcohol as I'm on meds and because I had a few seizures at the time of my accident, so the doctors have said if I don't have another episode I can continue my normal routine next June! :) just as well, as Jas and Joe bought me gin for my birthday haha!
Obviously my parents bought me a new iPhone which I'm immensely happy with!
Jas and her brother joe bought me gin and some fancy chocolates from where she works in hotel chocolat, Becky bought me some gorgeous lipgloss from nars! Rosie bought me loads, a pug purse, a beanie, done Henry holland nails and some green hair dye as she knows I'm notorious for dying my hair and I haven't gone green yet haha. Jess bought me loads too, tons of goodies from lush cosmetics, some topshop nail varnishes and some liberty hello kitty plasters! Majority of my family gave me generous amounts of money and even my ex and his parents got me something! My grandmother had just been on a cruise so brought back some Marc Jacobs daisy perfume, as she knows I love it. Over all it definitely was a birthday to remember as the messages in my cards and on my fb wall were enough for me to weep for weeks! <3

I'm back!

After not posting for ages due to numerous reasons, Uni/work/Xmas/ and not to mention my car accident. I thought using my old blogspot might help pass the time, help with my recovery and help with my Uni work later on.
So I should probably start from the top, a question I've had constantly for the past few months;  yes I got run over by a car whilst I was crossing the road from Uni. It was neither of the parties fault as there was a bus in front of me so I didn't see the driver. And he didn't see me. I broke my left femur, my right collarbone, and fractured 3 parts of my skull. I also had to have my lung pumped up as it deflated, not to mention having a brain bleed after I got hit on the head.
The brain injury name is 'diffuse axonal brain injury' which occurs after most car accidents. I has to be put into a coma and stayed in one for 2 weeks. They also had to cut my hair as there was so much blood. The more I talk about it the more I get upset. But I really am grateful for being alive and I'm immensely lucky as my accident was considered severe. Plus being only 20 at the time it helped a lot with my recovery. I couldn't speak for nearly 2 months, and it was like starting again from scratch. I couldn't walk obviously too.
I got admitted to a hospital called 'rookwood' in Cardiff end of July/start of august; and thanks to them I've had the best help. I probably wouldn't be writing this if they didn't help me.
I was discharged end of November thankfully, and I still hope all the people I met in there are still recovering well and get to go home soon!
I obviously didn't get to go back to Uni because of what happened but I'm hopefully going back next year. I also hope I can go back to my old job in house of Fraser next year too, I have to thank my Uni friends and work colleges so much for all their support. And especially HOF as they paid me extra due to my unexpected resignation. And because of my time away from the internet/shops it means I haven't blown all my money as usual on pointless things yet. So I'll obviously be posting a lot more of my purchases in the future!
Thankyou for reading and I hope this post helps people understand a lot more also.
